Pixtra PanoStitcher 1.8

Pixtra PanaStitcher 1.5 is a software stand-alone image editing program that provides the tools users require to create 360-degree panoramic images and web virtual tours by ‘stitching’ overlapping images seamlessly together.

Users are presented with a user-friendly interface that they can import/open files of JPEG, TIFF, or Quicktime for editing. The editing function of the program features cropping and resizing of images to any size or resolution and distortion correction can be used to correct any ‘barrel’ effects that may show in photos i.e., where straight lines in a scene look curved in a photo. To compensate for the differences in camera exposure, Pixtra PanaStitcher 1.5 features auto/manual intensity balancing.

The program can stitch photos of different zooms and automatically aligns overlapping images to ensure panoramas are seamless. Camera distortion correction is essential for users to produce their web virtual tours and Pixtra PanaStitcher 1.5 also automatically balances brightness and intensity between photos, auto detects focal length and corrects chromatic aberration caused by wide-angle lens. The program uses two manual methods of ‘stitching’ images, Marker and Overlay. Once presented with a row of edited photos taken from a fixed viewing point, Pixtra PanaStitcher 1.5 will automatically create 360-degree panoramic images from them and then convert the resulting image into a wall poster, screen saver, or interactive web page, depending on the users choice. Screensaver albums can be used for virtual web tours using three browser plug-ins included in the program.
